Take charge as the EHS Project Lead at Canadian Solar, focusing on Ontario’s Battery Energy Storage System projects. Inspire compliance and foster a strong safety culture.
This key role encompasses managing EHS responsibilities throughout all phases of BESS projects, from design to ongoing maintenance. You will partner with multiple teams to enforce compliance with safety standards, ensuring operational success. Your contributions will be vital in embedding EHS practices into our innovative projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate EHS efforts across Canadian BESS projects
• Develop and review EHS plans, risk assessments, and procedures
• Perform safety audits and site inspections regularly
• Engage in incident investigations and corrective action processes
• Assess contractor EHS management and improve compliance
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of progressive EHS experience
• Expertise in occupational health and safety regulations
• Recognized health and safety certification is a plus
• Proficient in EHS assessment of contractors
• Willingness to travel across Canada for projects
