You, as a Director, Quality, will:
Act as the key point leader and day-to-day champion for quality excellence in the AreaPromote a culture of quality through biweekly Operations meetings, Area-wide presentations, project team meetings, site walk-throughs, and other ongoing ad-hoc interactions and meetings throughout AreaDevelop and maintain an appropriate team structure for full-time quality management personnel to service individual sectors and specific client requirementsSupport teams in the effective execution of quality management on their projectAid in the understanding of project quality requirements and key project risksAssist in the development of project-specific quality management plansHelp facilitate the execution of quality management activities, including ongoing communication with key subcontractors on mechanisms for effective quality management and associated benefitsHold teams accountable for the effective execution of quality on their projectsConnect project teams with available resources in Corporate support such as Construction Sciences and Enterprise IntelligencePromote Best Practices, Lessons Learned, Tools and Templates and hold project teams accountable for ongoing implementationReport on the effectiveness of the quality program and degree of implementation at each project while making recommendations for improvementConduct project quality audits and hold project teams accountable for execution of audit action plansDevelop quality management narratives for proposal submissions, including approaches for quality staff resourcingContribute to project bidding process and identification of key quality assurance and quality control personnel to suit specific job challenges and risksParticipate in client and industry presentations and events to promote Ellis Don’s culture of qualityIn partnership with the Corporate QA Department and Construction Sciences, develop practical training materials and workshops to resolve gaps in the implementation of effective quality managementContinuously improve quality management system, tools, and templates to adapt to changing needs and client requirements across all projectsCollaborate with other Area Quality Leaders to share Best Practices and Lessons Learned, resolve quality challenges, and continuously improve quality execution across Ellis DonConduct Project Debriefs and collate key Lessons LearnedIs this the right role for you?
Ability to champion and lead the effective implementation of operational best practices, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives across all building types and throughout all sectorsMinimum 12 years of experience in the construction industry.
