You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.
How you will contribute
You will support elements of the site’s quality system, including internal documentation and change management control including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation, internal audits, effective PDCA cycles and CAPA system management and management review. In addition, you will coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints from start to finish, and serve as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

This role will be based out of the Cadbury Chocolate Manufacturing Plant located at Gladstone, Toronto, Ontario. We manufacture all local gems of the Cadbury brand including Dairy Milk, Caramilk, Crème Egg, Mini Eggs, Mr. Big and many more!This position contributes to the overall success of the quality agenda of the manufacturing plant. This will be done by ensuring the maintenance of key quality and food safety programs of the site.Responsible for the Finished Product Positive Release Program by executing product release and communication to the warehouse.Responsible for the Raw Material management at the site, which includes the execution of the Sensitive Raw Material Micro Verification Program, COA verification, Material sensory analysis, and execute the release of Raw materials from Quality Inspection.Responsible for coordinating product testing and issuing COAs for external manufacturing purposes.Document Control Administrator for the site includes creating and revising site documents. Provide support to the plant in document management for the site as needed.Manage the Calibration tracker to ensure all lab equipment and production equipment are calibrated, by reviewing and filing calibration certificates. Work with maintenance to close gaps as required.Support with product analysis, hold investigations and consumer complaint investigations as requested by the Quality Supervisors.Provide backup to the Quality Assistant as needed for Daily product submissions to the lab, and managing the product retains.Participate in GMP Audits, Internal Audits as scheduled.Education / Certifications:
BSc Degree in Biology, Food Science or other technical field or equivalent years of related experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.Minimum 3 years of Quality control/quality assurance experience preferably in a Food manufacturing environment.Job specific requirements:
Strong knowledge & experience of SAP, Quality software systems, & MS office.Strong understanding of plant Quality Programs, including HACCP, Metal Detection, Calibration, CoA's, Specifications, documentation controlAdaptable - must handle multiple situations at one time and be able to prioritize for maximum efficiencyCommunicates effectively with all positions orally and written in a professional mannerMust be able to effectively analyze issues / problems and develop solutionsDemonstrates initiative & perform duties without direct supervisionWork schedule:
Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 37.5 hours/week
The expected base salary range for this position is $47,674.00 to $73,434.00 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 6% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
