Job Overview
Randstad Canada is currently hiring a Quality Inspector for a 3‑month contract with the opportunity for extension and full‑time placement. The position is available for students on academic break or students willing to perform general labor work. The role is based in North York, Ontario at the Gurney Crescent location.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Hourly pay rate: $20 / hr

- Conduct routine inspections of in‑house products at various stages of production, ensuring they meet company and customer quality standards.
- Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, and non‑conformance issues, and communicate findings to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Verify that all products comply with customer specifications, and ensure proper labeling and packaging.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and any corrective actions taken.
- Utilize intermediate Excel skills to record inspection data, create reports, and track quality trends.
- Perform visual checks, color assessments, and basic garment testing such as seam strength or component durability checks.
- Follow established quality control procedures, ensuring consistency in inspections and product evaluations.
- Assist with training production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Experience in quality inspection, preferably within the apparel industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects and quality issues quickly.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with effective communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Knowledgeable about apparel production processes and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
