Position Overview
As a Quality Coordinator, you will report directly to the Quality Manager, and will administer the Company Quality Plan. In this role, you will be responsible for assuring that quality standards and procedures are disseminated and implemented throughout the company. You will perform and report on internal quality system audits and assists in the overall administration of the internal audit program.
District Overview
Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. They serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada.

This role will be located at Union Station in Toronto
Responsibilities
Maintain a high level of understanding of company standards and guidelines.Maintain Client Critique Schedules, Tracking and Trends.Provide update to employees on client critique results.Maintain Corrective Action Reports.Facilitate Root Cause Analysis.Maintain a solid knowledge base of District Quality Manuals.Identify potential quality incidents before they arise.Participate in district standards meetings and provide input/feedback as it relates to quality assurance.Understand requirements of ISO 9001 Standards.Help in the planning of, and participate in, internal quality audits.Conduct reviews of required documents and support materials, interview staff, and administer online audit questions to assess compliance with documented procedures.Provide administrative support for audits, other Quality Department programs and initiatives, and Monthly Operations Reviews.Facilitate quality presentations.Disseminate quality information in the office and on the intranet, send results to managers on a weekly basis, write monthly articles for company newsletter, present information at department discipline meetings, etc.Mentor other Project Quality Coordinators as required.Draft and maintain a Project Quality Plan for any given project including the Quality activities required on a project and associated metrics.In regards to Suppliers, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for:
Collaborating with the supplier to identify Quality requirements. Performing Quality Kick-Off meetings with the supplier to explain project Quality Management. Auditing the supplier to determine if required Quality records submitted. Participating in weekly coordination meetings to resolve Quality issues. Ensuring that all Quality issues are resolved before the release of the final payment.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or 5-10 years of related experience in Quality preferably within a heavy civil and industrial contractor and/or an engineering/quality consultancy.Experience in a project management type environment; specific experience in Kiewit-related projects such as mass transit, transportation, power, oil & gas, mining and heavy industrial would be an asset.ASQ Audit certification is preferred.Experience with Architechture is a plusExperience with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications required.Strong critical thinking skills.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Commitment to quality, safety, ethics, and integrity.Other Requirements:
