You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.
How you will contribute
You will support elements of the site’s quality system, including internal documentation and change management control including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation, internal audits, effective PDCA cycles and CAPA system management and management review. In addition, you will coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints from start to finish, and serve as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

The position will be the Subject Matter Expert SME) on quality protocols and processes for the assigned areas. It will support the daily operations team ensuring conformance to corporate and local Quality Policies and SOPs and proactively address risks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for daily oversight of all food safety and quality activities of the production areas including HACCP, GMP, Specification Compliance, SOP Compliance, etc
Work closely and lead, with the business unit leader, process engineer and production colleagues to implement Lean Six Sigma tools to continuously improve Product Quality, drive down defects, complaints and improve scrap waste.
Maintain and review, and file Quality and Food Safety paperwork on daily basis in accordance with company guidelines.
Investigate consumer complaints and trends.
Facilitate quality discussions and training activities.
Manage hold/release and non-conformance procedure for finished product or raw/pack materials.
Manage Quality incidents from the investigation, remediation and follow up with the closure of corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in project teams for new equipment and infrastructure, working with Safety, Quality, and other departments.
Actively contribute to the implementation of IL6S tools and systems in correction of issues using Root Cause Analysis tools to eliminate losses.
Prepare for and participated in internal and external quality audits in conjunction with the Process Quality Lead and Compliance Manager.
Technical / Functional skills:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Regulatory Affairs or Science.
2-5 years’ experience in a related field
HACCP, PCQI training. SAP user skills an asset.
Experience in GFSI Standards (FSSC, SQF, etc)
