Job Title:

Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector validates manufactured parts against engineering drawings and quality management standards to ensure products meet strict specifications. This role focuses on identifying and documenting non-conformances, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating closely with quality and engineering teams. The inspector works in a hands‑on warehouse environment, performing detailed inspections of automotive components while contributing to a culture of safety, precision, and process excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Validate parts against engineering drawings and the quality management system to ensure they meet all specifications and standards.
  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections using tools such as calipers and other measuring equipment.
  • Record explicit, accurate, and complete non‑conformance reports, ensuring all findings are properly documented and traceable.
  • Follow established standards, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and quality issue investigations to help identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Seek opportunities to improve, streamline, and re‑invent work processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Provide support to all quality departments as required, contributing to cross‑functional quality assurance activities.
  • Assist in other quality inspections as needed, including inspections of various automotive mechanical parts.
  • Collaborate with other inspectors and cross‑functional teams to verify mechanical performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform physical tasks associated with inspection, including occasionally lifting items up to 20 kg.
  • Work across different shifts as scheduled and support overtime, including weekends, when needed to meet production and quality demands.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support overall quality objectives and operational needs.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in quality control manufacturing inspection.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate parts against engineering drawings and quality management system requirements.
  • Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Proficiency in visual inspection techniques to identify defects and non‑conformances.
  • Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools to perform accurate dimensional inspections.
  • Proven capability to record clear and accurate non‑conformance reports and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Ability to occasionally lift items up to 20 kg as part of inspection activities.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and consistency in inspection work.
  • Ability to follow standards, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or engineering experience is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical parts such as control arms, chassis components, and ball joints.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime, specifically on weekends, when required.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, contract‑based environment with a focus on performance and adaptability.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with inspectors, quality teams, and cross‑functional colleagues.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and participation in quality issue investigations and process enhancements.
Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse environment, working closely with a team of four other inspectors in a hands‑on and collaborative setting. The work involves being on your feet, moving between inspection stations, handling physical components, and using digital tools for reporting and documentation. You will report directly to the quality engineering leadership, receiving clear guidance while taking ownership of your inspection responsibilities.
