Laboratory Supervisor - Eurofins Experchem Laboratories, Inc.

  • Compensation: CAD 75,000 - CAD 75,000 yearly

Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day operations within a high‑throughput analytical laboratory. This role provides first‑line leadership to laboratory staff, ensuring testing activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily laboratory activities to ensure analyses are conducted according to approved methods, SOPs, and client requirements
  • Monitor sample flow, workload balance, and turnaround time (TAT) to meet operational targets
  • Provide technical support and guidance to analysts and technicians as required
  • Participate in routine analysis during peak periods to ensure service commitments are met
  • Ensure adherence to ISO/IEC 17025, internal quality systems, and regulatory standards
  • Review analytical data, calculations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify, document, and escalate nonconformances, deviations, and out‑of‑specification results
  • In collaboration with laboratory management, halt testing when quality or data integrity is compromised
  • Lead, coach, and mentor laboratory staff to support competency development and performance
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and assignments to maintain effective laboratory operations
  • Support onboarding, training, and method competency sign‑offs
  • Contribute to performance feedback and team development initiatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, sample tracking, and reporting using LIMS
  • Maintain updated documentation including SOPs, training records, and operational logs
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 2–5 years of laboratory experience in an analytical testing environment
  • Previous experience in a lead, senior analyst, or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of SOP‑driven laboratories and quality systems
  • Experience with LIMS and high‑volume sample processing environments
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food, environmental, pharmaceutical, or contract testing laboratories
  • Exposure to ISO 17025 accreditation
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
