We are looking for innovative, hardworking, and collaborative team members to help Canadians Live Life Well.

Why Is This Role Important

This co‑op student role supports the Product Development team in executing the end‑to‑end development process, ensuring product readiness from concept through to production. The student plays a key role in maintaining accurate product information, coordinating sample flow, and supporting timely decision‑making across cross‑functional teams. The position contributes to product quality, costing accuracy and execution standards while gaining hands‑on experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and track development samples, including proto, fit, pre‑production (PP), TOP and marketing samples.
  • Manage sample flow by following up with vendors and organizing submissions for review.
  • Maintain accurate product information in PLM systems; update sample trackers, WIP comments, costing updates and product attributes.
  • Participate in the review of color submissions (lab dips, strike‑offs, knit‑downs and trims) and support the approval process.
  • Prepare for product review meetings by organizing sample racks, pulling master samples from PLM and ensuring materials are presentation ready.
  • Assist with costing activities, including BOM updates, cost scenarios and validating testing costs and yield (YY) calculations.
  • Organize and maintain sample libraries and binders of approved submissions for production pass.
  • Support pulling samples from production partners, including repeat styles and line reviews.
  • Gain exposure to the full development process from concept through to production readiness.
What You’ll Learn / Experience
  • The end‑to‑end product development lifecycle within a retail environment.
  • How to navigate PLM systems and manage product data across development stages.
  • Key development terminology and processes such as BOM, WIP, lab dips and sample approvals.
  • How to read and interpret garment specifications.
  • Identify fabric, trim and graphic techniques.
  • Costing fundamentals, including testing costs and yield (YY) calculations.
Time Management & Expectations
  • Support the PD team on assigned tasks with clear timelines and priorities.
  • Track progress and provide a weekly recap of completed and pending tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Need
  • A curious, proactive attitude with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Interest in product development, apparel or retail merchandising.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort working with data and systems, including Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (Fashion, Business, Retail or related field preferred).

At Joe Fresh, we seek great people who model our values, build trust and make connections. If you are open‑minded, responsive to change and ready for the challenges of a fast‑paced retail environment, we want to hear from you.
