About the roleThe Mine Technologist will join the Côté Gold team and report to the Senior Mining Engineer. As a member of the Technical Services team, the role focuses on measuring, collecting, and compiling operational data to support technical initiatives and innovative practices that improve mine performance. The position is based at Cote Gold Mine (Gogama, ON) and follows either a 7‑on/7‑off or a 14/14 schedule.
Responsibilities- Support Technical Services in executing QA/QC protocols for drilling, blasting, geotechnical, and geological operations.
- Conduct field surveys using high‑precision GPS and 3D scanning technology to gather accurate mine‑site data.
- Compile and analyze operational data to identify trends and support performance‑improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with technical and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain equipment integrity through regular maintenance and calibration of testing and surveying tools.
- Document and report deviations from established mine quality standards to monitor compliance.
- Assist in training personnel on standardized QA/QC procedures and safety protocols, facilitating staff development.
- Maintain organized data records and reports to ensure technical accuracy across departments.
- Familiarity with industry‑specific quality standards and regulations.
- Experience with Trimble equipment, drones, and Mineplan 3D is a plus.
- Technical proficiency with testing equipment and related software.
- No degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years supervised field experience.
- Preferred:
Drone Pilot Certificate – Basic or Advanced Operations from Transport Canada.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience across a variety of surveying methods.
- Ability to follow safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.

Salary Range: $70,800 - $97,400 (final offer based on skills, qualifications, and internal equity).
