Join WSP's growing team in Toronto as a Lead Safety Assurance Consultant. Be integral in ensuring safety compliance across rail and transit systems with a flexible working arrangement.
This key role focuses on overseeing safety assurance activities in rail projects, encompassing areas such as infrastructure and maintenance. Candidates will engage in a hybrid model, contributing to safety plans and acting as an Independent Safety Assessor. Your expertise will help maintain the highest safety standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safety assurance strategy development for rail projects
• Produce and review safety plans and hazard logs
• Identify hazards and assess risks in project phases
• Ensure all activities meet relevant safety standards
• Facilitate ISA and system integration from a safety angle
Requirements:
• Proven experience in rail and transit safety assurance
• Knowledge of safety standards such as IEC and CSM-RA
• Skills in auditing and compliance processes
• Experience in quality assurance and validation activities
• Understanding of hazard management processes
