This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy. We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst based in Toronto with approximately 7+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in executing test cases, following testing scripts, performing requirements analysis, and working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to effectively communicate issues and ensure timely resolution.
Job Summary We are seeking two detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts for an urgent opportunity with our client, Scotiabank, based in Toronto. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring product quality through systematic testing, defect tracking, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams. This role requires a strong focus on functional testing, defect management, and continuous improvement of product quality.Key Responsibilities
- Execute test cases and follow predefined testing scripts to validate product functionality and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects, bugs, and usability issues using defect management tools such as Jira.
- Review system requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to gain a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables.
- Perform re‑testing (regression testing) after defect fixes to ensure issues are resolved and no new defects are introduced.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to communicate findings and support timely issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate and detailed testing documentation and reports.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.
- Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands‑on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with re‑testing and regression testing practices.
The pay rangeforthis role is $60,000 to $70,000 CAD per annum(max) including any bonuses or variable pay.
