Job Overview

The Business Banking Platform is a core technology domain within TD that enables end‑to‑end business banking capabilities, including lending, onboarding, payments, and specialized financing such as Auto Finance. It exists to deliver scalable, secure, and customer‑centric digital banking solutions that support businesses across Canada. The platform translates TD’s business banking strategy into technology capabilities that directly impact customers, dealers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Be knowledgeable and adhere to established quality engineering practices, internal policies, applicable regulatory guidelines, and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area.
  • Ensure decisions, risks and lessons learned are identified, clearly documented and enhancements implemented.
  • Understand relationships between work processes and the business and ensure awareness of costs related to own work.
  • Deliver effective and efficient solutions that meet key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, within budget, and adhering to QE and quality standards.
  • Comply with and support well‑defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines, including creation of project documentation of system requirements, estimates of scope and cost.
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and elevate non‑standard, high‑risk activities as necessary.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
  • Ensure quality is built early (shift‑left) in the SDLC.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies:
    Daily stand‑ups, Sprint planning, Backlog refinement and Retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts and Product Owners.
  • Support test planning, design, and execution for assigned features or user stories.
  • Develop and execute In‑Sprint, Regression, Integration / API validation (as applicable) and E2E Test Automation.
  • Validate business requirements and ensure end‑to‑end test coverage.
  • Develop test automation using Java, Selenium, Typescript, Playwright, API automation using Rest Assured, JIRA, and JTMF for Test Management.
  • Execute automated test suites and support maintenance of scripts.
  • Follow automation‑first approach to improve efficiency and regression coverage.
  • Pioneer AI tool adoption (e.g., Git Hub Copilot) to accelerate Test Automation, and innovative solution development that drives faster and quality testing solutions.
  • Identify, log, track, and validate defects.
  • Work with development teams to analyze root cause and verify fixes.
  • Provide timely updates on test progress, risks and blockers.
  • Support execution of test suites in CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions.
  • Assist in maintaining test environments and data readiness.
  • Contribute to continuous testing practices across development stages.
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/points of interest.
  • Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit; support knowledge‑sharing across teams and with relevant stakeholders, ensuring knowledge is codified, monitored, tracked, and managed.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and leadership to proactively identify and resolve issues related to product quality.
