What You’ll Do Coordinate and communicate with Product Developers and the Sourcing team on setting standards for new seasons.
Manage the testing process of new fabrics with third‑party labs, including shipping test yardage, reviewing all testing reports/results, filling out test results, and communicating all necessary information to stakeholders to ensure a seamless process.
Inspect pre‑shipment, bulk samples, and shipments of fabric and trims, compare with standards, and communicate with appropriate departments on whether samples or raw materials meet CG quality standards.
Communicate with fabric and trim suppliers regarding results of pre‑shipment or shipment inspections; drive improvement processes, release or reject shipments.
Communicate and monitor all third‑party testing and inspection processes.
Issue non‑conformance reports and ensure follow‑up with rejection processes.
Perform in‑house tests in the CG QA lab; analyze results, compare, and confirm third‑party test and inspection reports.
Maintain the CG QA standards library and files.
Support with any quality‑related production issues for labs, raw materials, and finished goods.
Act as backup to the departmental QC Coordinator during absence or high‑volume periods.
Support development and implementation of processes and procedures using advanced industry knowledge.
Let’s Talk About You College degree or diploma in apparel design and manufacturing.
3‑5 years of quality control experience within the apparel manufacturing industry.
Textile/fashion industry knowledge.
Specialized lab testing knowledge.
Colour principle and colour sense.
Strong eye for detail (shading, millimetre difference, colour reading and grading).
Knowledge of textile and lab testing.
Knowledge of industry inspection standards and garment construction (4‑point system).
Computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Illustrator, etc.).
Communication and cooperation skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Positive attitude and a great team player.
Ability to use own initiative, problem‑solve with a can‑do attitude.
Working Conditions Manufacturing/warehouse environment; some heavy lifting required; sitting and standing.
Salary Range $46,000.00 – $64,000.00 per year.
