ERM HSE Specialist

Position: ERM HSE Specialist Job
Step into a pivotal role as a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist with ERM in Toronto, Ontario. This full-time hybrid position emphasizes compliance and HSE procedure excellence within a mining context.

In this role, you will apply your in-depth knowledge to enhance HSE practices for a major mining client in Mississauga. You will lead the development of HSE procedures, support compliance with Ontario regulations, and train site personnel effectively. This role is key in establishing a structured approach to managing HSE activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and implement core HSE program elements

• Develop procedures and controls tailored to sites

• Facilitate training matrix development for site personnel

• Document necessary safety controls for high-risk tasks

• Create workflows to track and manage HSE activities

Requirements:

• HSE-focused post-secondary education

• Minimum of 7 years experience in HSE

• Strong understanding of Ontario OHSA requirements

• Experience with JHSC processes and principles

• CRSP preferred
