CMM Operator

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure the best quality product is delivered to a customer in a timely manner .

Terms:

Permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using Camio Inspection software to complete dimensional inspection of completed product.
• Prepare reports to describe studies and prepare documents and layouts
• Keep the equipment and the workstation clean at all times for most accurate results
• Perform project work, while adhering to deadlines, as required
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience operating Milling machine, Surface grinder, Drill press, Hand tools and Precision instruments
• Ability to read a blue print and GD&T interpretations
• Ability to use MS Word & Excel computer applications
• Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Previous experience operating a CMM/Portable measuring equipment is preferred
• Knowledge/experience in Polyworks, LK Metrology CAMIO Software is a definite asset
