Shape the future of pet nutrition with Open Farm as the Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance in Canada. This role involves hybrid work and focuses on safeguarding product quality across our supply chain.
In your role at Open Farm, you will manage food safety and quality systems that uphold our commitment to ethically sourced pet food. You will collaborate with internal teams and co-manufacturers to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards. Your leadership in audits and compliance strategies will significantly contribute to our customers' trust and satisfaction in our offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the FSQA liaison for co-manufacturers
• Audit facilities and manage food safety plans
• Lead regulatory compliance initiatives
• Set quality assurance standards for materials and products
• Drive continuous improvement in food safety practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or similar
• 5+ years in food safety and quality assurance
• Hands-on knowledge of HACCP and relevant guidelines
• Experience with ERP and quality management systems
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
