The QA Specialist is responsible for planning, designing, and executing testing strategies for large-scale, complex business systems. This role ensures system quality through manual and automated testing, data validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in Agile and traditional environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and advise on testing strategies, methodologies, tools, and resource requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data
  • Plan and coordinate testing efforts across GUI and non-GUI environments
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, regression, and specialized testing
  • Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing
  • Identify, log, track, and manage defects using:
  • ALM / HP QC
  • JIRA
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Automation & Performance Testing
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using:
  • Test Complete / Postman
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform performance, load, and stress testing using tools like:
  • JMeter
  • Validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems
  • Perform data migration, transformation, and reconciliation testing
  • Write queries for backend validation (Oracle or similar DBs)
  • Manage test data strategies ensuring privacy and realistic datasets
Accessibility & Compliance
  • Conduct accessibility testing aligned with:
  • AODA
  • WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 AA standards
  • Use tools such as:
  • WAVE
  • JAWS
  • NVDA
  • Compliance Sheriff
  • Collaborate with Developers, BAs, PMs, and QA Leads
  • Sprint Planning
  • Stand-ups
  • Provide inputs for release notes and user documentation
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of:
  • Test coverage
  • Quality metrics
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and SDLC processes
Overview

  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Automation & Performance Testing
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using:
  • Selenium / Cypress
  • Micro Focus / Open Text UFT
  • Test Complete / Postman
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform performance, load, and stress testing using tools like:
  • JMeter
  • Load Runner
Data & Backend Testing
  • Validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems
  • Perform data migration, transformation, and reconciliation testing
  • Write queries for backend validation (Oracle or similar DBs)
  • Manage test data strategies ensuring privacy and realistic datasets
Accessibility & Compliance
  • Conduct accessibility testing aligned with:
