Real Estate Valuations Senior Associate

Job Overview  A career in PwC’s Property Valuation Practice, within Deals Valuation, offers the opportunity to leverage specialist expertise in the real‑estate market. Candidates will contribute to valuations for taxation, M&A, advisory services, and will be part of an integrated deals team providing real‑estate related advice from an overall deals perspective.
Responsibilities   Assist in the preparation of and/or analyze real‑estate market research across multiple asset classes and markets in Canada.
Support the preparation of initial drafts of reports, valuation analyses, memoranda, and pitches, applying appropriate industry and business acumen.
Support the real‑estate assurance function by reviewing valuation methodologies and assumptions that support financial statements for clients such as pension funds, REITs, private equity, and developers.
Interact with various clients, advisors, and stakeholder groups.
Collaborate with key members within the PwC Valuations and Real Assets teams and the broader deals ecosystem, supporting corporate finance, restructuring, and value‑creation practices with real‑estate scope.
Qualifications   Demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives.
Ability to multitask on competing deadlines in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Broad real‑estate background with a valuation focus, potentially leading to an AACI designation.
Preferred knowledge in one or more of the following areas: highest and best use analysis, leasing strategy, facility management, and corporate real estate.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analyses and financial modeling;
Argus experience highly desirable.
Proficiency in PowerPoint for pitches, presentations, and deliverables.
Valid driver’s licence, proof of E&O insurance, and membership in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
Benefits & Compensation  Salary range $58,400 – $97,500 for major city centres; ranges may vary by location. Base salary is determined by skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. Eligible for variable incentive pay programmes rewarding individual and firm‑wide achievements. The role offers inclusive benefits, flexibility programmes, and support for wellbeing.
