The Rotman Research Institute (RRI) is a premier international centre for the study of human brain function. The RRI advances the understanding of human brain structure and function in critical areas of cognitive neuroscience, including perception, memory, language, attention, and decision making. With a primary focus on aging and brain health, RRI scientists and trainees, and other clinician researchers across Baycrest, promote and impact effective care and improved quality of life for older adults through research into age- and disease-related behavioural and neural changes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Recruiting and testing participants (neuropsychological, neuroimaging)
  • Data management, including scoring and analyzing data
  • Assisting with statistical analysis
  • Preparing stimuli for studies
  • Preparing and managing research ethics applications and grant applications
  • Various administrative duties
Qualifications include but are not limited to:

Four (4) year Bachelor degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Medical Biophysics, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering with a background in cognition and/or neuroscience or a three (3) year General Bachelor of Science Degree in one of the above fields with a background in cognition and/or neuroscience, with a minimum of one (1) year of related experience or a Master’s Degree with no experience

The following skills are assets for this position:
  • Clinical experience with neurological populations
  • Experience with programming experiments for data collection (including online)
  • Database management
  • Quantitative data analysis
  • Neuroimage analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

Our salary ranges are structured to support progression, from learning the role to demonstrating full proficiency.

For this position, the salary range is $39,873 to $54,826. The target hiring range is $39,873 to $49,842 per year.

Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
