Overview  We are seeking a Basque Language Specialist who lives and breathes Basque grammar, syntax, morphology, spelling, phonology, and pragmatics. You will challenge advanced language models on topics such as ergativity, verb conjugation, noun declension, sentence structure, dialectal variation, formal and informal speech, and the nuances of the Basque writing system. You will document failure modes to help harden model reasoning.
Responsibilities   Converse with the model on language scenarios to assess performance.
Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model outputs.
Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes.
Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
Qualifications   Master’s or PhD in Basque language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal.
Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects signal fit.
Clear, metacognitive communication—“showing your work”—is essential.
