Elevate your research skills as a Gender Research Officer with Cuso International in Jamaica. This placement supports LGBTQIA+ advocacy through impactful research analysis.
As a volunteer in Kingston, you will focus on improving the research capacities of Caribbean Vulnerable Communities.
Your role involves analyzing reports on LGBTQIA+ experiences and aiding advocacy with the Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Gender Equality. A related degree and experience in gender diversity are essential for this engaging five-month placement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct a review of LGBTQIA+ focused research
• Compile and analyze research findings
• Assist in advocacy efforts with empirical data
• Engage with local civil society organizations
• Contribute to gender-responsive initiatives and solutions
Requirements:
• Degree in social sciences, human rights, or related fields
• At least 3 years in gender advocacy roles
• Background in LGBTQIA+ community issues
• Strong data analysis skills
• Advanced English proficiency
