This role supports the creation of HR and workforce management tools that reflect the quality and usability of modern consumer software, grounded in user‑centered and human‑centered design practices. The UX Researcher will contribute across the full design lifecycle—from early discovery and insight generation to usability testing—helping teams define problems, generate ideas, and deliver impactful solutions.

Success in this role requires strong collaboration with Design, Product Management, and Engineering, along with the ability to clearly communicate research insights and recommendations.

What You’ll Get to Do
  • Execute user research initiatives within key product areas such as Workforce Management, Payroll, Tax & Payments, Talent, or Platform.
  • Conduct both generative and evaluative research, incorporating market, competitive, and industry insights.
  • Design and execute research studies, including study plans, screeners, discussion guides, and participant coordination.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform product definition, prioritization, and strategy.
  • Support product teams by contributing to opportunity framing and requirements development.
  • Coach and guide product designers on research methods, analysis, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams throughout all phases of research and design.
  • Identify patterns, themes, and opportunities across studies to connect research outcomes to product strategy.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design practices in all research and product decisions.
  • Partner with the broader research team to continuously grow skills and expertise.
Skills and Experience We Value
  • Experience incorporating market or industry research into product and user insights.
  • Experience conducting research across the design lifecycle with a strong desire to expand skills, particularly in discovery research.
  • Familiarity with product development and prioritization frameworks such as PRDs, opportunity framing, and RICE.
  • Ability to work with guidance from senior researchers while developing autonomy.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and involving non‑researchers in the research process.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with a focus on understanding cross‑functional team needs.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
What Would Make You Stand Out
  • Experience working within SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end research impact on product decisions.
  • Experience influencing product strategy through research insights.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Passion for improving user experiences at scale across diverse user groups.
Benefits
  • Time away from work programs and comprehensive wellness initiatives.
