Kiso Ji Biotechnology is a therapeutic antibody company that is currently expanding its team. The successful candidates will complete project milestones within strict deadlines, contribute technical expertise to the team, and work both independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams. We are looking for people who are internally motivated, scientifically rigorous and thorough, and enjoy responsibility. Candidates must be able to work legally in Canada.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in lab animal work and cell culture to join our pre-clinical group in Toronto. The individual will report directly to the head of the department. This is a full-time position.
Key responsibilities- Carry out preclinical/non-clinical studies in mice, including:
- Sterile preparation and dosing of cells and drug formulations (ip, iv, po)
- Animal health monitoring (body weight, clinical sign assessment, anesthesia) and blood sampling
- Necropsies and tissue collection for subsequent experiments (flow cytometry, histopathology or immunohistochemistry, mechanism of action, etc.)
- Anti-tumor efficacy (biologics and small molecules)
- Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamic studies
- Carry out in vitro and ex vivo studies, including immunophenotyping of circulating cells and solid tissues (e.g., spleen, tumor microenvironment) by flow cytometry, analysis of circulating tumor cells, and expansion and maintenance of mammalian cell cultures.
- Work in compliance with Kiso Ji’s code of conduct, workplace policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain detailed laboratory notes and sample records. Compile reports of experimental procedures and present them in both internal and external settings.
- Coordinate outsourced studies with CROs
- Other duties as required.
- Expertise in immuno-oncology, relevant in vivo models, and ADME.
- Experience with Flow Cytometry and immune cell analysis
- Deep understanding of cell growth (kinetics, viability, proliferation rates, death rates, etc.)
- Ability to prepare effective slides for internal and external presentations
- Sophisticated organizational skills
- Ability to integrate easily into a diverse team environment that requires close collaboration
- Experience with hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPC) and/or hematological cancer models
- Binding assays
Successful applicants must have demonstrated expertise in the core competencies and methods required to carry out the key responsibilities.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biological Sciences, preferably with a minimum of 6 years (M.Sc.) or 4 years (Ph.D.) of related professional experience.
