Graduate Research Analyst - EDC Team

Join the EDC team in Toronto as a Graduate Research Analyst focusing on economic and political intelligence. This hybrid position is perfect for individuals passionate about trade research starting Fall 2026.

As part of Export Development Canada, you will lead independent research at the Economic & Political Intelligence Centre. This role is tailored for Master’s or PhD students with a solid foundation in economics or public policy. You'll engage in analyzing Canada's goods exports, services, and investment trends, enhancing your skills in both theoretical and applied areas of research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead research projects from conception to completion

• Conduct literature reviews and refine research methodologies

• Collect and validate data from various statistical resources

• Execute advanced econometric modelling tasks

• Present findings through detailed reports and visualizations

Requirements:

• Graduate studies in Economics, Finance, or related fields

• Demonstrated experience with econometric analysis

• Ability to manage independent research projects

• Strong command of analytical programming like Stata

• Effective communication skills to convey complex findings
