Postdoctoral Researchers at SGC Toronto – Target 2035 Fellows
SGC Toronto is recruiting postdoctoral researchers through the Mitacs Target 2035 Fellows
, supporting research aligned with the global Target 2035 mission.
As a fellow, you will work on open drug-discovery projects that combine experimental science, computation, and data to develop chemical tools for understudied human proteins. Projects span early drug discovery activities, from generating protein–small molecule interaction data to applying AI and machine learning approaches for ligand discovery.
Research areas include:
- Medicinal chemistry and chemical biology
- Protein production, biophysics, and structural biology
- Cell biology and disease-relevant assays
- Large-scale data generation and screening technologies
- Computational drug discovery, data science, and AI/machine learning
Fellows work in interdisciplinary teams with academic, SGC, and industry scientists and benefit from training supported through Mitacs.
If you are interested in contributing to open science drug discovery, we encourage you to apply.
The Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) is strongly committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We strive to create an environment that welcomes individuals from all groups, countries, organizations and institutions in our research community. With the mission of creating global access to drug discovery through open science, SGC also endeavours to further the diversity of ideas and approaches in the workplace. Our goal is to embrace research contributions from all communities, as we believe this enhances the quality of research and innovation.
