Principal Investigator Youth Bipolar Research

Lead groundbreaking research at the Centre for Youth Bipolar Disorder, part of CAMH. As Principal Investigator, you'll manage impactful research projects and secure extramural funding while focusing on bipolar disorder in youth.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly qualified scientist for its Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute. This role requires a Ph.D. with at least 3 years of post-graduate research experience, specifically in suicide risk and self-harm mechanisms in youth. Engage in collaboration and develop a profile at national and international research levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee research projects as Project Lead from start to finish

• Secure and manage external research funding sources

• Publish findings as first or senior author in top journals

• Establish research collaborations within the academic community

• Supervise and mentor trainees at various research levels

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in a relevant health sciences discipline

• Minimum 3 years post-graduate research experience

• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals

• Experience in neuroimaging and neurocognitive methods

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
