Job Description
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full‑time, 12‑month contract Research Coordinator for the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR). IMHPR focuses on climate change and health and its impact on populations experiencing poverty. Reporting to the Principal Investigator and Research Manager and collaborating with partners, you will perform multiple administrative tasks, manage databases, conduct original research (including interviews), handle REB communications, support learners, and engage stakeholders.
You will contribute to scoping and systematic reviews and knowledge mobilization activities. Lived expertise and Indigenous engagement are key aspects of this work. The position is primarily located at 250 College Street and 1025 Queen Street West.
- Master’s level degree in a health‑policy focused field.
- At least two (2) years of experience and training related to equity‑deserving or systemically disadvantaged populations.
- Experience with literature reviews, qualitative research, and interdisciplinary teams in climate justice, housing and health equity, intersectionality, and health equity.
- Experience collaborating with lived/community experts.
- Demonstrated experience developing and administering data‑collection tools using online platforms such as REDCap.
- Experience with Covidence for literature reviews.
- Experience communicating and coordinating with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in PC software, including Microsoft Office and internet search engines.
- Strong technical aptitude, detail oriented, well‑organized, and knowledge‑mobilization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Self‑directed learning and competence with concurrent projects.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of research design, data management, and ethical conduct of research in human participants, including GCP, RCR, and TCPS2 certification.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with severe mental health challenges.
- Additional language skills (English/French) and/or proficiency in another language, lived expertise in relevant areas, and experience working with Indigenous peoples and communities are assets.
$37.51 - $50.60 per hour
