Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Fellow (Level
A) will contribute to a research program focused on developing novel small molecule therapeutic approaches for solid cancers within the Vascular Biology and Translational Research Laboratory. Reporting to Professor Levon Khachigian and the Head of the Laboratory, the role will undertake high‑quality experimental research using a range of molecular, cellular, and animal model techniques to advance the understanding and treatment of cancer.
- Design and conduct experiments to investigate cancer biology.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data.
- Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and conference presentations.
- Participate in laboratory meetings, conferences, and collaborative research activities.
- Assist with the supervision of research students.
- Support the broader research program and contribute to ongoing research excellence.
- PhD in Medical Sciences or a related discipline.
- Experience in cancer biology, particularly solid tumour and metastasis models.
- Proficiency in rodent models of solid tumour growth and/or metastasis, including immune system involvement.
- Hands‑on experience with Western blotting, immunohistochemical staining, flow cytometry, enzyme‑linked immunosorbent assays, and related techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- A track record of publications and conference presentations relevant to the field.
- Strong commitment to staying current with developments in the discipline.
