As a Staff Scientist at IonQ, you will spearhead the development of innovative fault-tolerant quantum algorithms, impacting diverse industries. With a PhD or equivalent experience, you'll utilize your expertise to analyze and drive the scaling of algorithms for commercial and scientific success. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop novel fault-tolerant quantum algorithms with significant impacts
• Perform resource analyses and conduct SWOT evaluations of approaches
• Communicate key developments to stakeholders across the organization
• Foster technical interactions to tackle real-world issues
• Advance benchmarking and estimation methodologies within the industry
Requirements:
• PhD in relevant fields or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years in quantum computing, with a focus on FTQC algorithms
• Proficient in Python, Qiskit, and familiar with C++
• Experience in commercializing quantum software solutions
• Active engagement in the FTQC community through publications or patents
