Archaeological Field Director for Cultural Heritage

In this essential role, located in the Greater Toronto Area, you will lead archaeological initiatives across various projects. Your focus will be on quality fieldwork, including surveys and excavations, while collaborating with project managers, Indigenous stakeholders, and field technicians. You'll inspire your team to deliver exceptional results while actively preserving Ontario’s rich history.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee field programs, including surveys and excavations
• Mentor field technicians and develop team capabilities
• Conduct artifact identification for precise cultural interpretation
• Collaborate with project managers for project success
• Embed health and safety practices in all activities
Requirements:
• Degree in Archaeology or a related field
• Valid Professional Archaeological License in Ontario
• Proven experience leading archaeological fieldwork
• Familiarity with Ontario’s Standards and Guidelines
• Valid driver's license with travel readiness
Contribute to sustainably developing infrastructure while preserving cultural heritage.
