Join our Toronto-based applied research team as a Computer Vision Researcher, blending rigorous research with engineering. Work on innovative CV systems impacting retail and factory operations across Canada.
We are seeking a full-time Computer Vision Researcher to navigate the intersection of academic research and practical engineering solutions. In this role, you will prototype and benchmark advanced CV architectures and work closely with CV engineers to ensure successful deployment. Your work will include mentoring, publishing findings, and contributing to our long-term CV strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Survey literature for relevant CV solutions
• Prototype novel CV architectures for project needs
• Benchmark methodologies against client datasets
• Translate prototypes into production-ready systems
• Mentor engineers on contemporary CV techniques
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Vision or related field
• Strong publication record or applied research output
• Proficiency in PyTorch and related technologies
• Hands-on experience in large-scale dataset management
• Ability to bridge research with production objectives
