The Role
Wellesley Institute is currently working on a range of research projects which aim to improve health equity in Ontario. To support this work, we are looking for a researcher with strong quantitative skills to work with our team. This position will report to the CEO through our Director of Research.

Qualifications, skills, and experience:

Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, health services, or related field.

Knowledge and understanding of health equity and the social determinants of health.

Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research methods and analytical techniques relevant to health equity and/or the social determinants of health, including the ability to apply established statistical approaches (e.g., regressions) to address timely and policy-relevant research questions.

Experience conducting literature reviews and other evidence synthesis activities to inform research priorities and policy development.

Experience working with or applying mixed methods research approaches, including the collection, analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data, is considered an asset.

Demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate quantitative research findings through data products, research reports, and other knowledge synthesis tools tailored to diverse audiences. Experience translating research findings into actionable, data-driven policy recommendations.

Experience managing, analyzing and interpreting quantitative datasets using appropriate statistical software (e.g., R/RStudio, SPSS).

Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work on a collaborative team with others.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines among multiple tasks.

General Information
Wellesley Institute is located in downtown Toronto. This is an on-site position. We are currently working a hybrid of onsite/remote but may return to on-site only.

Salary Range
$70,000-$80,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications), plus benefits.
