Position: Expert Forensic Scientist Role
Join Ontario's justice initiative as an Expert Forensic Scientist based in Toronto. Focus on forensic analysis, provide definitive reports, and testify in legal settings as an expert.

As a Scientist 4 (G22) in this permanent role, you will perform critical examinations of body fluids and DNA, interpret complex scientific data, and produce comprehensive test reports. Your experience in forensic sciences will also allow you to mentor junior colleagues while leading innovative research projects that enhance forensic methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and examine forensic samples for evidence

• Create clear and detailed test reports

• Present scientific findings in court effectively

• Mentor and educate junior staff in forensic techniques

• Lead forensic research and development initiatives

Requirements:

• Honours degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent

• Demonstrated knowledge of forensic analysis

• Familiarity with laboratory quality assurance practices

• Strong skills in scientific reporting and database management

• Ability to communicate complex findings effectively
