The University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a Sessional Instructional Assistant for the Forensic Science Specialist program. Candidates with a completed Master’s degree in Forensic Chemistry and substantial research experience are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will assist in academic research, guiding students and reviewing applications, as well as support their professional growth in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and grade ethics applications submitted by students
• Provide constructive feedback on research proposals
• Conduct mock interviews for student presentations
• Help develop professionalism in forensic science practices
• Assist students to clearly communicate their work
Requirements:
• Completed Master's degree in Forensic Chemistry or related field
• Research experience with knowledge of UTM ethics protocols
• Excellent communication skills and availability for student support
• Ability to attend classes and provide timely feedback
• Interest and experience in scientific research and project management
