Director of Applied Research at KHP

Drive impactful mental health solutions as the Director of Applied Research with Kids Help Phone on a 6-month hybrid contract. Lead innovative applied research efforts to enhance youth mental health access.

In this key role, you will report to the VP, Equity, Programs & Innovation Implementation. Your expertise in applied research, partnership management, and evidence-based decision-making will support KHP's mission to ensure mental health support for young people across Canada. You will oversee research governance, evaluation practices, and capacity building initiatives, all aimed at enhancing service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advance KHP’s applied research infrastructure and ethical standards

• Design evaluation frameworks and outcome measurement tools

• Build knowledge mobilization and staff research literacy strategies

• Manage strategic partnerships and research funding efforts

• Supervise the Research Coordinator and project activities

Requirements:

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline

• 5-8+ years in applied research and program evaluation

• Proven partnership management and governance experience

• Strong knowledge of research ethics and practices

• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
