About

The Role What if your years of advanced research could directly shape the intelligence of the AI systems that millions of people will rely on? We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to bring their domain expertise to the frontier of AI development — designing and solving the complex, rigorous problems that push AI reasoning to its limits.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want meaningful, intellectually challenging work on their own schedule. Training and onboarding support is provided.

What You'll Do
  • Design, solve, and review advanced multi-disciplinary problems with real-world research relevance
  • Apply your domain expertise to craft complex problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for academic rigor, logical soundness, and technical accuracy
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and other domain experts to continuously improve model performance
  • Maintain high standards of clarity, depth, and precision across all deliverables
Who You Are
  • Holds a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top-tier university
  • Has a strong track record in research, academic publication, or complex technical project management
  • Exceptionally clear written and verbal communicator with sharp attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
  • Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation systems
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts and workflows
