Job Summary

The Division of Neurology and the Baycrest Sam & Ida Ross Memory Clinic have an opportunity for an on-site Research Coordinator. The Division of Neurology provides clients with timely, quality, evidence-based medical care, guided by the mission and principles of Baycrest and University of Toronto, regulated by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care, to the standards set out by the College of Physicians of Ontario, & within the Baycrest Medical Staff by-laws and Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary contact for multiple studies/sites
  • Recruits and screens patients for eligibility for current studies based on established criteria
  • Conducts and documents informed consent
  • Monitors study progress and ensures proper documentation and follow-up on studies
  • Generates study-specific documents
  • Assists with data collection
  • Serves as a liaison to physicians, investigators, participants and other staff members regarding the research process
  • Assists with and reviews Research Ethics Board documents

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, neuroscience, psychology, or related field;
    Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with neurobehavioural and/or neurocognitive assessments (e.g., MoCA, MMSE etc.)
  • Prior experience conducting or supporting research studies in cognition, memory, dementia, or related fields
  • Experience working with a geriatric population with neurodegenerative diseases, and their caregivers preferred
  • Experience with data capture applications (e.g. REDCap)
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills

Compensation

Our salary ranges are structured to support progression, from learning the role to demonstrating full proficiency.

The salary range for this position is $58,386 to $72,983 per year.

Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
