The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in its field. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Margaret and Wallace McCain Centre for Child and Youth Mental Health and the Principal Investigator, CAMH is seeking a full-time contract (12 months) Research Analyst to provide support for a program of research focusing on the engagement of people with lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges in research processes. In this position, you will work on a psychometric study validating a tool co-designed to measure the impact of lived experience engagement in research.

The study is in the participant recruitment stage. It therefore requires a Research Analyst who can support recruitment, a Phase 2 qualitative stage, interpretation, and reporting. You will review the literature on the topic and support the use of the data. You may also support other studies as needed, particularly qualitative studies and literature reviews. The ideal candidate will be capable of conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision.

The candidate may also be required to assist with other administrative duties, as necessary. The individual will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable CAMH policies, as well as all regulatory and legislative requirements.

• Identifying as a person with lived experience of mental health/substance use challenges is a strong asset for this position.
• Experience human subjects research, including data collection and participant tracking, is required.
• Experience with qualitative research and software such as thematic analysis and NVivo is required.
• Experience with and knowledge of lived experience engagement in health research (e.g., patient-oriented research, patient engagement, patient and public involvement) a strong asset.
• Experience with quantitative data analysis tasks is an asset, including basic use of SPSS software.
• Experience with submissions to Research Ethics Boards, the careful organization of REB-approved documents and study materials, and the conduct of research projects involving human participants is required.
• Experience with data entry is required; previous experience with REDCap is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication (oral/written) skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• The candidate will be detail-oriented, possess analytical thinking skills, and be able to exercise initiative and good judgment.
• The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting program deadlines.
• The candidate requires the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Salary Range: $27.95 - $37.28 per hour
