Become a Research Assistant with IMDEA Energy Institute, specializing in bioethanol production from municipal waste. This position in Móstoles, Madrid, focuses on cutting-edge biotechnology solutions.
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the Biotechnological Processes Unit.
Your role will involve key tasks such as macromolecular characterization, enzymatic hydrolysis, and scaling up production processes. This is an exciting chance to contribute to sustainable energy solutions through innovative research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Characterize substrates for macromolecular properties
• Optimize enzymatic hydrolysis for improved output
• Produce bioethanol from processed waste materials
• Evaluate enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation methods
• Scale production to 50 L bioreactor setups
Requirements:
• Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related areas
• Experience in yeast fermentation and laboratory work
• Effective written and oral English communication skills
• Proven motivation for high-quality research
