Explore groundbreaking research opportunities at UNSW as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Biostatistics and Cancer Epidemiology. This full-time hybrid position promotes advanced study into cancer care inequalities.
Engage within the UNSW School of Clinical Medicine, specifically in the CCORE group, through a two-year appointment. You will focus on analyzing large datasets, contributing to important research that aims to improve cancer outcomes and health equity.
Your role will involve collaboration with clinicians and researchers to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct statistical analyses on cancer-related datasets
• Link Australian Census data to health records for research
• Work closely with clinical teams for data-driven insights
• Prepare competitive grant applications
• Publish in high-impact journals to disseminate findings
Requirements:
• Advanced degree (PhD) in Biostatistics or related disciplines
• Experience with statistical software, including Python or R
• Strong publication histroy in health services research
• Skills in managing large datasets and causal analysis
• Dedication to equity in health research
