The Director of R&D Partnerships will spearhead Moderna’s collaboration strategy in Canada, defining a transformative vision for partnership-driven innovation. This role requires deep knowledge of the R&D landscape, fostering strong connections with senior stakeholders across government, academia, and industry. Key responsibilities involve aligning external opportunities with the company’s priorities while ensuring effective execution of strategic initiatives, including rigorous business case development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and lead Canada's comprehensive R&D strategy
• Map the Canadian R&D ecosystem for high-value collaborations
• Build strategic relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
• Originate and advance partnership opportunities and business cases
• Drive execution of strategic initiatives across teams
Requirements:
• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in a relevant field
• Proven experience influencing stakeholders across sectors
• Strong track record in executing impactful R&D partnerships
• Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
• Exceptional problem-solving and risk management skills
