As a Research Associate within Sunnybrook's Biological Sciences Platform, you will support the new Bioinformatics and Computational Core. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside scientists and trainees using advanced techniques in multi-omics data analysis. Your contributions will help enhance research capabilities and develop training resources for the scientific community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide bioinformatics support for high-throughput multi-omics data analysis
• Implement reproducible bioinformatics pipelines using advanced tools
• Collaborate to identify computational needs and develop solutions
• Support the development of the Bioinformatics & Computational Core
• Conduct training activities for research staff and trainees
Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics or a related field
• 2–5 years of relevant research experience
• Hands-on expertise in multi-omics analysis techniques
• Strong programming skills in R, Python, and Bash
• Familiarity with HPC clusters and cloud computing
