The University of Toronto is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to assist Prof. Field Rogers with GAPS. This role emphasizes developing scintillating fiber sensor systems and mentoring research students. Additional projects may include data analysis from GAPS flight-1 or collaborations with other groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop scintillating fiber sensor systems for GAPS
• Mentor research students in instrumentation projects
• Analyze GAPS flight-1 data and related science
• Support collaboration with other UofT research teams
• Engage in cosmic-ray instrumentation and analysis
Requirements:
• Expertise in scientific instrumentation, particularly nuclear sensors
• Experience in collaborative research environments
• Strong scientific communication skills
• Familiarity with cryogenic systems or data analysis is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours based on research needs
