UHN, Canada's leading research hospital, seeks a Bioinformatics Specialist to enhance spatial transcriptomics across multiple research labs. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in single-cell analysis and computational biology, leveraging their skills in R and Python to optimize workflows. You will be pivotal in mentoring teams and developing cell-segmentation pipelines that will contribute to critical research in arthritis and neuroscience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead HPC-based automation for single-cell workflows
• Develop cell-segmentation and analysis pipelines
• Mentor team members on computational projects
• Communicate results to collaborators across various disciplines
• Conduct literature reviews to inform methodologies
Requirements:
• Master's degree in relevant field with 5 years’ experience
• Minimum 2 years in single-cell transcriptomics
• Hands-on with Visium HD data
• Proficient in R and Python for NGS
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
