Maze & Tour Desk Attendant

The Cowtown Cattlepen Maze is an attraction in the Stockyards National Historic District. The
Maze and Tour Desk Attendant is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting
customers at the Maze and Tour booth located at 145 East Exchange Avenue.

Part Time Position – Candidate must have a flexible schedule and be able to work between 20
- 25 hours per week including some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Sales and Attendant Responsibilities:
Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a fast-paced environment.
Proper cash handling including, greet and service guests at registers, taking orders,
accepting payment, and handling cash, debit and credit cards.
Prepare bills, using point of sale equipment, accept payment and make change.
Ability to provide instructions for our Maze attractions
Inventory control. Assess inventory and assist in preparing product orders as necessary
 Stock and restock items as necessary.
 Perform other general duties as needed including but not limited to:
Maze upkeep and
cleanliness, answering phones, assisting with field trips and the Tours Department.
Requirements:
 Must be 18 years of age or older.
 One year cash handling experience.
 Excellent public speaking skills
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
 Must be able to communicate clearly and congenially with patrons.
 Good attendance.
 Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
 Staff should have knowledge of the Stockyards area and history and be able to offer
visitor assistance.
 Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
 Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and
special events.
