Retail Store Tailor – Alterations

Provide positive input and valuable assistance throughout the entire customer experience to ensure that each guest is satisfied and receives a final product customized to look attractive, fit well, and feel just right.

• Greet, interact with, and respond to customers regarding special requests.
• Expertly mark, alter, and press garments selected by customers.
• Ensure the proper fit of garments.
• Answer customer questions about tailoring.
• Mark garments for tailoring and press them appropriately.
• Maintain an open dialogue with management.
• Assist other team members.
• Keep the tailor shop clean and organized.
• Properly size customers.
• Offer new wardrobe ensemble suggestions.

• Highly motivated and customer‑friendly.
• Formal training for tailoring preferred.
• Experience as a tailor for menswear highly preferred.
• Good technical skill.
• Sound knowledge of various types of sewing equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team attitude and enthusiasm.
• Proficiency in all basic and advanced alterations of men’s tailored clothing.

Hourly pay range: $20.56 - $26.73 per hour, based on market location and applicant qualifications. Pay will be determined at the interview stage. Eligible for benefits such as health, dental, vision, and other payroll contributions.
