Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Location: Bayview Village (2901 Bayview Ave, North York ON M2K 1E6)

Reports to: Retail Store Manager

Supervises: Keyholders, Sales Associates

Availability: Weekdays, weekends, evenings

We are growing! We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our brand-new store opening in Bayview Village!!

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales to meet store budget
  • Proactively analyze, monitor, and react to weekly store selling looking for opportunities to increase sales
  • Monitor daily sales and payroll and take appropriate action based on trends and opportunity
  • Performs all opening and closing procedures as per standards and guidelines
  • Assist the Store Manager during the recruitment process from time to time.
  • Training and orientation of all new sales associates
  • Development and implementation of colleague coaching and support the Store Director with training plans
  • Develop and manage the scheduling of all the Sales Associates in the store in partnership with the Store Director
  • Ensure the cash desk area and fitting room procedures and controls are adhered to and maintained at all times
  • Lead by example to orchestrate store staff to accomplish daily priorities and workload
  • Ensures markdowns are processed correctly and merchandised effectively as per standards and direction
  • Communicates successes, opportunities, and solutions to the Store Director
  • Ensures proper signage and marketing execution as per directions and guidelines
  • Understands, practices and complies with all company policies and procedures
  • Provides a compelling store environment by leading by example, inspiring the team and interacting with customers
  • Provides feedback on performance; trains and coaches the team on opportunities, and sets each team member up to succeed through positive leadership
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support teams
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of Retail management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Planning, prioritizing and follow-up skills
  • Ability to accurately assess talent and ability to coach, provide feedback and develop a high-performing team
  • Passion for customer service and leading a positive work environment
  • Ability to resolve conflict situations in a proactive and professional manner
  • Open availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, store openings and closings to meet the needs of the business, including one weekend day and two closing shifts per week
