Position Summary
Working as a Stock Unloader Associate at Walmart Canada is an excellent opportunity to build hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced retail environment. In this role, you play a key part in keeping the store running smoothly by unloading trailers, processing merchandise, and moving pallets to the sales floor, all while maintaining a safe and clean workspace. - Receiving and Unloading Merchandise:
Prepare and reset the Receiving Area and unload general merchandise trailers, including completing live unloading of remaining merchandise. - Handle and Move Merchandise Safely:
Maintain cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen products and pull pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing. - Stocking and Customer Support:
Assist with stocking the sales floor as assigned and provide customer service when needed to support a positive shopping experience. - Overstock Organization:
Label and place overstock merchandise in designated areas to support efficient inventory management. - Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment:
Follow Company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free workplace, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure. - Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule):
Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
- High Task Volume in a Fast‑Paced Environment:
Manage overnight hours effectively and plan accordingly to stay energized and focused. - Physical Demands:
Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs., as well as repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail.
