Description
Develop and manage a compelling toys and collectibles assortment that aligns with brand strategy, customer demand, and financial objectives.
Build strong relationships with vendors and brand partners; negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional opportunities.
Analyze sales performance, margins, and inventory levels to optimize category profitability.
Identify new opportunities within seasonal and core product lines to drive growth and customer engagement.
Create and manage open-to-buy plans, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely product flow.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and visual teams to ensure successful product launches and in-store presentation.
.Stay current on toy industry trends, retail market dynamics, competitive activity, and evolving customer preferences to identify opportunities and drive category growth.
Participate in trade shows and buying markets as required.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of progressive buying or merchandising experience in toys.
Proven success in managing category performance and vendor relationships.
Strong financial and analytical skills, with accountability for P&L and inventory management.
Self-starter with strong decision-making ability and excellent organizational skills.
Collaborative communicator who works effectively in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment.
Flexible, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and product innovation.
Required to work in the office five days a week, Mon-Fri
